A side step from my Conformity series. This painting is about escaping “the box”, but the question is, escaping to where? Where would you escape to if you could break free from the expectations of society, and could you actually do it.

I think the last year or so, has shown us all that life does not need to go back to what it always was, and that there are different ways of doing things, and there are a different set of priorities for each of us, (no matter what they may be), and the “new normal’ really should be different from what we always deemed as normal. What do you think??

Its like the old saying, “we can’t keep on doing the same thing, and expect different results!”

(It’s also quite a striking piece with its vibrant colours against the darker backdrop, and would look great as part of a gallery wall.)
