My Story

An artist who works, mostly in abstract art, with a touch of surrealism and a little of the impressionist, and inspired by all these movements, rolled into one, and shaken up like your favourite cocktail !

inspired by the sights, sounds and smells of my travels

Like many artists, I have been making art, and creative projects from a young age, with some of my very early works, becoming quite political in either their origins or their outcomes. Growing up in Northern Ireland provided a lot of inspiration, and opportunity for political statements.

I can recall my tutors often asking me to hold back a bit, and after explaining my process, was told to really go for it. Sometimes though, I did have to be sensitive to the political situation.

I made the move to Australia a few years ago, and it inspires me every day to be creative. I try to include this, along with my travels, and experiences from my home, into my abstract work. This could be a colour palette, a sound, a smell, a memory, even a dream, and I try to incorporate this into the creative process. This process can often take me on a journey, of which, I do not always know where it will end, which can be frustrating at times, but mostly, I love the outcome, and this is a huge part of abstract art, (for me anyway).
I hope you enjoy what I create.

It is my firm belief that art is in the eye of the beholder, and by that I mean that every individual will get something different from a work of art. I will have my reasons and inspiration for creating the work, however, I love hearing how viewers and collectors interpret the same work, and it can sometimes be even better than my original concept!

Although each of my pieces is completely original and not easy to replicate, I am more than happy to find out your needs, and come up with something in a similar style, that is unique and individual to you. . I always love hearing from collectors, so please don’t hesitate to drop me a line and say hi.
